Jobs in the fashion world (1st part)Who decide the trends to come? The fashion trends analysts. They study the potential of a product or a service, by analyzing the sales of the past, to the sales to come. They gather informations on their competitors and examine the prices, the sales, and the tactics of marketing and distribution. The trends analysts must collect facts by surveys and/or investigations. With the data collected, they can advise their customer or employer, on promotion, distribution, design, and the prices of the products or the services of the company.
NewsFashion and ComputersWith the information collected from the research on the new tendencies, new colors, and others, fashion designers, must create artistic and/or technical drawings of model, with the aim to realized future collections. This person is often surrounded by a team of designers, stylist or assistant designer. They will have to fill the functions relating to creation, follow-up of the collections, creation of the styles, the charts and the choice of the fabrics to be used within the various sectors, such as clothing for women, men and children, the fur and the professional garments. Today, the creation of a fashion collections with the computer is easier and more practical for the designers.
